Tatarstan is advantageously located in the center of the European part of Russia, at the confluence of two major rivers – the Volga and the Kama. The capital of Tatarstan - Kazan is located at a distance of 797 km east of Moscow. The total area of the republic is 68 thousand square kilometers.
